BISON, the crypto trading platform of the Börse Stuttgart Group, has yesterday the gradual launch of their new insured staking offering for Ethereum (ETH) announced. This launch marks a significant step towards safe and accessible crypto staking for German private investors.
Key features of the new offering:
- Low entry: Customers can participate in staking from as little as 0.005 ETH
- Weekly payout of staking rewards
- Innovative staking insurance in collaboration with Munich Re
- Technical implementation by the German staking provider Staking Facilities
Dr. Ulli Spankowski, CEO and co-founder of BISON, emphasizes the advantages of the new offer:
“Our customers can now put their cryptocurrencies to work for them and generate passive income. We offer a simple and secure staking solution with low minimums, escrow and innovative insurance.”
Staking insurance, developed in collaboration with Munich Re, covers the main risk of “slashing”. This protects investors from possible losses due to technical failure, operator error or fraud.
Initially, the staking offer is only available in the mobile app for users residing in Germany. The current annual percentage rate (APR) for Ethereum staking is between 2 and 5 percent, although this value is variable and dependent on the blockchain protocol.
BISON plans to expand its offering to include additional cryptocurrencies in the future. With this introduction, the company is responding to the increasing demand for staking options from its now around 840,000 active users.
This development fits seamlessly into the latest innovations of the Börse Stuttgart Group. We recently reported in the Crypto News about successful blockchain tests by the group in collaboration with the European Central Bank, which the Settlement times for securities transactions could be drastically shortened. BISON’s new staking offering underlines the group’s ongoing commitment to making blockchain technology and digital assets accessible to retail investors while prioritizing security and ease of use.
