The Memecoin platform Pump.fun brings back livestreams, So terminated Co -founder Alon Cohen. Various security measures were taken to make live streaming safe and accessible. Nevertheless, it is recommended not to open the live streams at work: there is still the possibility that content appears on the platform that are not suitable for this.
Why was live streaming removed earlier?
Pump.fun, the one on the Solana (Sol) Network-based platform, the live stream function restarted. The function was temporarily removed in November after a series of inappropriate and shocking incidents occurred in the live streams.
So the most terrible things were done during livestreams. Among other things, firearms, sexual content, children’s and animal abuse during the live streams were shown. A storm of criticism followed and the platform was forced to switch off the live streams.
The live stream function on the platform was intended to share or pursue the start of new memoins with other crypto investors. Livestreams offer a unique insight into the process of mining, trade and hypens for Memecoins. Pump.fun was unable to use supervision and moderation on the platform, which completely removed the function.
Live streaming with moderation and guidelines
Now the live stream function is back for several inquiries from users, if only for 5 percent of users. After this test phase, the function will probably be accessible to all users in the long term.
On April 4, Cohen posted that the function has returned with “industry -customary moderation systems and transparent guidelines”. On the website Pump.fun states that the goal of the new Livestream moderation guideline is to create a social environment that preserves creativity and freedom of expression and promotes sensible interactions between users, free of illegal, harmful and negative interactions.
Violations of this moderation guideline can lead to livestreams from creators and even their pump.fun accounts.
The guideline prohibits certain types of content, including violence, animal abuse, pornography and the endangerment of minors. At the same time, the guideline ensures some ambiguities by realizing that Pump.fun does not intend to universally define what is “appropriate” or “inappropriate” content. Nevertheless, the platform indicates the right to reserve the right to determine what adequate content is, if necessary, and to moderate it if necessary. Nevertheless, the developers of the platform take into account the scenario that inappropriate content will appear on the platform.
